Official Announcement: Spanish Cup 2020, Leagues and Members

Spanish Cup 2020

After the reassignment of the date of the Spanish Cup communicated on September 15, 2020 due to the pandemic situation, we are still in a similar situation with its consequent limitations of mobility between communities, congregations and practice sports in some parts of the region.

For these reasons, the Competitions Committee, supported by the Board of the Spanish Lacrosse Association, has made the decision to cancel the Spanish Cup scheduled for March 20-21. Being the first season since its introduction in 2014 that this appointment is not celebrated.

With a view to the 2021 Spanish Cup, its headquarters will remain and will be held in the month of October (date yet to be specified) in Valencia.

Leagues

Regarding the Spanish Lacrosse League, we remain vigilant that mobility between autonomous communities is allowed again so that we can resume it.

Any questions you can consult with the competition delegates of your respective clubs, who are part of the National Competitions Committee. If you do not have a delegate who is part of said committee, send us an email facilitating the contact of the person who can attend the meetings, who is aware of all the updates regarding competitions and will represent your Club in all the decisions that are made take on.

Members Registration

The website for the registration of members of the Spanish Lacrosse Association and their teams is now operational.

To become a member, the first step is to register on the web as a user. In order to enjoy the benefits of being a member (such as participating in competitions or keeping up with news), you must fill out the corresponding form on the following page: spainlacrosse.org/hazte-socio

The clubs and fans that want to continue being part of the AEL and enjoy all its benefits must register and make the corresponding annual payment.

The players must also fill in the corresponding form (Senior or Youth) but without making the payment until the competitions begin.

The Spanish Lacrosse Association understands the complicated situation facing the lacrosse community in the country and that training is not being given with the frequency, quality and quantity that we would all like. However, this record will facilitate the resumption of competitions in the future and help in the work of accelerating the recognition of the modality before the Higher Sports Council.

Looking forward to returning to a real normality soon and to see us soon in the fields!
